American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born November 8, 1967. Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy's regular role on Two and a Half Men. Thorne-Smith was born and raised in San Francisco, California, and was raised in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mother, and she was a therapist. Courtney was seven when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. She has an older sister named Jennifer who works as an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School, situated in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley during her time in high school. Thorne Smith's first appearance in a movie was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) as well as Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in several films during the late 1980s including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she starred in the box-office flop Chairman of The Board alongside Carrot Top. In 2009, she was a character in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple split in January 2001. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. The couple welcomed Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40 years old.
