Abi Clarke
In the past, i.e. the early 2020s. In the past,
comedians may have expected to gig up and down the UK for a number of years
prior to being invited to a TV panel, and later selling an arena tour. It's not
so easy. One art form that could be performed live in the future is comedy,
however there's no way to expect arena shows. One Bristol comedian, however,
has managed to find an immense global audience during lockdown via social
media. Abi Clarke never set out to become an internet superstar. Abi, who is 24
lives in Henbury. She began making videos online "to create a network of
like-minded people who could appreciate my standup comedy." "I had
been performing many more shows in Devon to males aged 50 and over, so I
started making online videos in the hope that I could build an audience of
like-minded people who would like my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
